Terms of Service

currentundo is a community tracker for power outages in Kerala. Reports are submitted voluntarily by individuals using their own mobile devices.

currentundo.com is an independent, crowdsourced platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) or any government agency. Information presented here is not official.

Every outage report on this site is submitted by an end user. We do not verify reports against any official source. Reports may be inaccurate, delayed, mistaken, duplicated, or maliciously crafted. The aggregated counts and live feed shown on this site reflect raw user submissions only.

The service is provided AS-IS, without warranty of any kind. Do not rely on it for safety, medical, business continuity, or emergency decisions. For verified outage information contact KSEB directly on 1912.

• You confirm you are physically present at the location of the outage you report.
• You will not submit reports on behalf of any other person, automated process, or bot.
• You will not attempt to flood, spam, or otherwise manipulate the data shown to other users.
• Filing a knowingly false report may be a violation of Indian law.

To prevent abuse, the service is rate-limited to one outage report and one availability report per browser every 10 minutes, with an additional network-level abuse cap. Repeated submissions within that window will be rejected with HTTP 429. This limit may be tightened or relaxed at any time without notice.

Submitting a report requires GPS access. Pincode and area name are derived from your GPS via OpenStreetMap Nominatim. We do not continuously track your location — GPS is read once per report.

We do not require accounts or personal information. We hash your IP address with a secret salt to enforce rate limits and detect abuse. We do not store raw IP addresses, and we do not track you across sessions.

Reports older than 30 minutes are no longer surfaced in the live feed but remain in the database for analytics, historical mapping, and abuse review.

These terms may change without notice. The current version is always available at currentundo.com/terms. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

This service is operated from India and governed by Indian law. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Kerala.
